Unveiling the Magick: What is Mota and How Can it Benefit You?

To truly appreciate the essence of Mota, it's important to explore its history and cultural significance. The term "Mota" originates from the Spanish language and holds a deeper meaning beyond its literal translation of "speck." In Spanish, "Mota" is often used to refer to the cannabis plant or marijuana.

Cannabis has a rich history that dates back thousands of years, with ancient civilizations recognizing its medicinal and spiritual properties. In Spanish-speaking countries, particularly in Latin America, the term Mota has become synonymous with cannabis and is deeply ingrained in the local culture.

The use of Mota in traditional medicine and spiritual practices has been passed down through generations, with indigenous communities harnessing its power for various purposes. From healing rituals to enhancing meditation and connecting with higher realms, Mota has played a significant role in the cultural fabric of these communities.

By understanding the history and meaning of Mota in Spanish, we gain a deeper appreciation for its holistic potential and the profound impact it can have on our well-being.

Hemp-derived Full Spectrum CBD

Full spectrum CBD oil is gently extracted from the entire hemp plant- flowers, stalk, and leaves. It maintains the full integrity of their nutrients and every nutrient is preserved. Unlike CBD isolate, it ensures benefits of the whole plant with terpenes, flavonoids, and trichomes. It nourishes the ECS (Endocannabinoid system) to support stress, sleep, and balance. It is also aroma-therapeutic in its natural state.

Cannabinoids and terpenes work synergistically to create the entourage effect to provide relief. Terpenes are naturally occurring chemical compounds found in plants that are responsible for aroma, flavors, and color.

  • What is CBD and what are the benefits?
CBD is the acronym for cannabidiol, the non-psychoactive, non-intoxicating organic compound produced by the Cannabis sativa plant. When CBD enters the body, it binds with receptors in the endocannabinoid system (ECS). Your ECS is an internal biological system that is believed to play a crucial role in maintaining homeostasis, your body's ability to maintain a state of internal balance and well-being regardless of changes and outside factors. Cannabinoid receptors are found throughout the brain, skin, organs, and glands. It is believed the ECS regulates many different functions in humans such as sleep, appetite, mood, and pain. CBD works directly with these receptors to boost homeostasis. CBD can soothe pain, care for your skin, and make you feel more comfortable in your own body, all important aspects of physical self-care. Read more below.
  • What is the Entourage effect?
The hemp plant contains over one hundred cannabinoids. Combined, these cannabinoids enhance their healing powers significantly.
  • What is the difference between full-spectrum CBD and isolate CBD?
Full spectrum CBD, also referred to as "whole plant", extracts the cannabinoid CBD and everything else with it, including the hemp plant's terpenes (additional compounds responsible for taste, smell, and even calming benefits). Since CBD is made from a plant with less than 0.3 percent of THC, you don't need to worry about psychoactive effects. CBD Isolate is the purest form of CBD, produced by removing all other compounds found in the plant including terpenes, flavonoid, other cannabinoids, and plant parts.
  • Does CBD massage oil help with pain?
CBD is known for its anti-inflammatory and pain relieving properties. Best for chronic pain. CBD oil helps reduce inflammation and to soothe muscles.
  • Can CBD oil be absorbed through your skin?
While CBD can and should be absorbed through your skin in order to be effective, this does not include absorption of THC or its effects.
  • How do I clear my system of CBD?
Considering that CBD has a very low level of THC and will not be detected in drug tests, there is no need to clear your system of CBD. Time will help remove it from your system.
  • Are Mota Magick's products all natural?
All of our products are formulated with high quality plant-based oils and butters. Most of the ingredients that we use in our products are certified organic, all others are natural, so we use 100% natural and organic ingredients in every formulation. Unscented body butter has zero essential oils or fragrance. Cashmere is scented with fragrance. All of our other products are scented with essential oils.
  • Can I use your products if I have sensitive skin?
Yes! Our products are formulated with ingredients that should be gentle enough for those with sensitive skin. However, it is recommended that you test the products first on a small area (e.g. patch test).
  • What is the shelf life of your products?
Our products are formulated with natural ingredients. As a result, most of our products are best used within one year of purchase. Our bath and shower products are best used within six months of purchase (as scents can fade over time). Our balms and butters are best used within one year of purchase. Please store all products at room temperature away from direct sunlight, heat and water to extend their longevity.
  • Do you offer returns/refunds for online purchases?
If you are not satisfied with your order, please contact us directly and we will do our best to make it right. No refunds or returns allowed.
  • What is the difference between a body butter vs. a balm?
The difference between a body butter and a balm is the reason you use them. The body butter is meant to be applied all over the body, especially problem areas such as dry, cracked skin. Body butter is a high fat substance, so it can both hold high levels of CBD and cling to the skin longer to deliver it. The balm is meant to be applied to localized pain and inflammation.
  • How do I use the body butter?
Used as a layering moisturizer, body butter can be used to add an extra layer of moisture on top of your standard body lotion. Perfect for dry, problem areas.
